These were some of the colour variations that i tried.
This is looking really good Rachel, i tend to like the monochrome or complimenting colour palettes better than the contrasting ones. I like the use of transparency, it adds a depth to it, almost like there is a fog. Good work!

Close to final design, minor tweaking is still required.
That is really impressive, you can hardly tell where the repeat is, the shape is very organic and makes for a seamless repeat. I really love the colour you’ve chosen also, it would a great calming and romantic mood to the room.

I’m still working on how the tree motif will be placed on my wallpaper but i think it would be interesting to have three trees of different sizes…
I am fond of the 3 different sized tree motif and the one in a diamond shape frame. I think particularly that the last one would work with a larger step and repeat in zig zag like display. (one instance is high, the other low and etc). I think you could work with the frame to include some of the vines and leave from before if you prefer also. It would make for a very delicate yet detailed design i would think.
Good work, your sketches are excellent.

After consideration I decided that the tree would be a good motif to use for an art nouveau wallpaper- with curved and flowing lines to create the branches. Keeping the natural colours of autumn with brown, orange and gold on cream.
I think the colour palette you discussed would work well with the Art Nouveau concept. I think you could still use some of the sketches on the left if you wanted, they are very strong and decorative concepts. I like the leaves and vines very much, it looks quite symmetrically balanced and aesthetically pleasing to my eye.
I think the top 2 sketches could work will as a background theme muted down. Or the leaves pattern you have there. Very good though!

I started drawing simple thumbnails of motifs i might use in my wallpaper. Concentrating on natural imagery and flowing or curved lines.
These are really good initial sketches. I particularly like the dragon fly and vines and leaves (the last image). I think the vines would help to convey the decorative aspect as the stems could be used to illustrate the curvature of lines common in Art Nouveau imagery.
The tree is also a very strong image too which i think you could go somewhere with.

I’ve altered the pattern slightly to make it able to tile better.
I wanted to make one colour way look like it could be used in a bedroom, and the other in a living room.
The red one is rather bright and probably more suited for a living room where people are rushing about the place. I think the muted purple one has a more relaxing atmosphere to it and would probably suit a bedroom better.

Thinking of motifs to use….I think a diamond shape one would blend really seamlessly…
Here is a very dodgy quick PS sketch.
Another hand painted sketch….I like the leaves in it, the type of creeper branches…I want to use this in my design with a central image.

This is a more complex version, i thought it was too busy…so i still worked on this theme but changed it to be more simple.

Here are some initial sketches i did related to the Art Nouveau theme.
